Welcome to Petit Ballet by Lawra Lopes
Petit Ballet is a BBO (British Ballet Organization)-registered ballet school for children ages 2+ in Watford. The school was founded and is run by Lawra Lopes who created a unique, fun, and engaging technique of teaching ballet, taking inspiration from her native Brazil. Lawra's approach fosters creativity and confidence in every dancer.
Lawra has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education, and has over 17 years of experience in teaching ballet and other dance styles in Brazil the USA, and the UK.
Lawra is first-aid trained and has her DBS check.

At Petit Ballet, we are proud to be a registered school with BBO Dance (British Ballet Organization), following their well-established and inspiring methodology.
Our students benefit from a high-quality, age-appropriate ballet syllabus that develops strong technique, musicality, creativity, and confidence in a supportive and nurturing environment.
We also offer the opportunity for students to take BBO Dance exams, giving them the chance to celebrate their progress and gain recognised achievements as they grow through each level.
Whether your child is dancing for fun or aiming for formal progression, our classes provide a strong foundation through one of the UK’s leading dance education organisations.
Brilliant class. My 2 year old loves attending ballet with Lawra, she has so much fun with all the props, dancing to the music. Lawra is very professional and such a kind/caring teacher. We have already signed up for another term.
